Marblewood photography art print
Found and Foraged is a collection created using dried flora from my own foraged collection, preserved bees found at home at the end of their natural life cycle and found vessels around home during New Zealand's nationwide lockdown April 2020.
Marblewood is a proud arrangement of dried Hydrangea blooms held in Crown Lynn Nautilus vase. The history of the vessel noticeable in the Kintsugi* work featured wrapped around. Two bees subtly placed amongst petals that fade in and out of saturation.
* Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage. As a philosophy, it treats the breakage and repair as part of the history of an object rather than something to disguise.
